Great layout!! I love ACOT, too!! The ladies are great on the message board and are always so nice with lovely comments in the gallery!! I would probably use some of the 50$ on the monthly envie and buy a couple of things I've been really wanting in my wishlist!! Thanks for the chance to win!!

Please send me your contact information to so I can forward it on to ACOT!  THANKS everyone for playing along!  We will have another giveaway soon!

Hi everybody!  I will need a little time to delete out the double comments and run through, so we will have a winner this afternoon at 1:00 p.m. Central time - so exciting!  In the meantime, if you can run over to A Cherry On Top's Facebook page and thank them for sponsoring this $50.00 giveaway on my blog, that would be great!

It sounds like so many of you already know and love ACOT, but here's a link for those who may not have visited there.

Here's a page I worked on real quick last night documenting our snow-covered house.  It doesn't snow that much in Texas, but since we've moved into this house five years ago, we seem to get a good covering now and then!  Wanted to capture the house, the lake by the house and the tree with the presents under it.  Sorry for the glare-y, bad pictures - had to take them in the dark!

Layout Will be Back Later

Okay, I'll see everybody back at 1:00 p.m. Central with a winner!  Have a great day!

Lovely * Sweet

So last night I played around with a little of everything, Crate Bundled Up, Heidi Swapp, Amy Tan and Studio Calico and a Maggie Holmes bow :)  I loved the dotted taupe paper and wanted to pair it with some pink, and this picture of Emily with her ear muffs and furry boots fit right in.  I just love the little bits of Bundled Up!  I need to order more of it  :)

Thank you for stopping by!  I hope you have a great Tuesday!

$50 Giveway from A Cherry on Top!

How exciting!  A Cherry on Top is sponsoring a $50.00 shopping spree to a lucky reader of my blog!  I'm really excited for one of you!  I found A Cherry on Top maybe a year or so ago and love it there.  They run specials often and have sweet ladies on the message board and lots of challenges to get you going.  The best part is hunting for cherries (or Christmas ornaments right now!).  Collect the cherries as you browse the merchandise and cash them in for discounts later.  You can also collect cherries for uploading layouts in the gallery, participating on the message board, leaving product reviews, challenges, and for ordering.  The shipping is super fast, and if I ever had a question, I get a fast response.  A perfect place I love to shop and visit!  So I'm thrilled they are offering a reader here a shopping spree of $50.00.

I'll show you my latest addition to the smallest December Daily I'm working on, 2 x 2 square pockets.  I've been working in 3 x 3 pockets, plus a homemade book, all from October Afternoon.  The papers and bits for the 2 x 2 pockets were so cute I had to try it, too, and got an album and sleeves to go along with it.

So follow my blog, and leave a comment telling me what you would shop for if you win the $50.00 shopping spree!  And stay tuned, because I will have another shopping spree in a week or so - ACOT is so generous, they are sponsoring two $50.00 sprees.  I just don't have enough kind words about them.

If you do order, please tell them I sent you.  If  you are a new customer to ACOT and mention my name, I believe we will each get 1,000 cherries, which equals five dollars off your order.  I'm not sure if that program is still running, but it's worth a try. I would like them to know I sent you though.

I love to check there during the day and click the "new products" button and see what is in or what is coming in soon.  Stop by on the message boards and say hi if you like, upload some December Daily or whatever you're working on, too - everyone's super nice.

Well, that's it for today!  Have a really great week and I'll see you tomorrow with another layout.  We'll run the contest this week and wrap it up on Friday.  I'll draw a number from then forward the winner's info to ACOT so they can credit your account.  Good luck and have fun!

Christmas Wall Hanging

The month I was Guest Designer at A Cherry On Top, I selected Crate's Sleigh Ride to make some things with.  When we moved across country after DH retired from the Marines, we didn't realize it, but all of our Christmas boxes were not to be found.  So each year I try and hand-make a few things to restart a collection. I love bottle brush trees and wanted to use it along with some gifts under the tree.  I knew the picture I had in mind was Emily kissing a doll her grandmother had sent her :)  The frame came from a garage sale and was cheap, shiny gold, so I gessoed it to white wash it and used some gold metallic wash on the scrolly parts.  I love how it came out!  I've recently pulled it out and it's hanging in the living room by the wide red ribbon on top.  Thank you so much to A Cherry On Top for the products!

I would love to see what home decor projects you have made!  Please link them below so we can see :)

December Daily, Homemade Book

So here are a couple more pages of the homemade book I'm doing combining several Christmas seasons.  I'm doing one book as a 12 x 12 3-inch pocket book, along with some 2 x 2 inch pockets, this book, and doing PL along the way.  I need two more binder rings!  I'll add on the cover and first couple of pages below although they've already been posted.  The majority of my shopping is done at A Cherry On Top. Love them so much!  Next time I will do a supply list if anyone is interested. Have a good day!

I kind of like the white space of all the glitter gold polka dots and  may leave it like that.  We're getting her something else for her car this year, and may put a picture of that next to last year's picture...

The Memory Nest is a neat place that has a spot where everyone can link up their December Daily pages to see each other's work - I think that's a great idea!  The link is above to add yours.

True Love

Hello!  We're still iced in and home bound!  It's been terrific.  DH is venturing out to the grocery store with the girls today, then I'll be cooking up a storm and doing more Christmas decorating.  We have a box with tons of photos just thrown in from before I scrapped.  I love pulling this one out and looking at it.  I just fall in love with Sara all over again when I look at that sweet little face as she's holding my favorite little Santa decoration.  She's 17 now, and to me she's still my little girl. Made the little Christmas tree out of Maggie Holmes handwriting paper. Anyway, here it is!

Fall with Basic Grey Persimmon

Hi everybody!  I've been waiting for Persimmon and was so glad to get snowed in this weekend and get some fall pages done.  There will be lots of pictures, so let's get started!

And actual Thanksgiving week, although I guess the two weeks are kind of mushed together ;)

This was a busy, happy time.  I'm glad the girls will have this to look back on in the years ahead.  Have a great day!

More Eggnog from OA

Eggnog from October Afternoon is making these December Daily pages fun to work on.  It's so cute!  This is one of the two books I'm working on.  I've combined some prior years with current stuff.  So here you go:

It's snowed in here.  So glad I hit the store and we're inside and cozy!  Have a good day.

ETA:  I just came across a neat place where others link up their stuff and you get to see lots of pretties in one place: - go post your things too!

December Daily, more pages, now with October Afternoon Eggnog

More December Daily pages ready to go and fill up with fun memories.  This is mostly October Afternoon Eggnog, with a bit of Pink Paislee and my own doo-dads thrown in.

I've got two different albums going in December, one the girls can have and one I'll keep, both different styles, and working on a Crate mini album of a bunch of miscellaneous pictures - I'll be busy forever!

Have a good week!
